DESCRIPTION:The Spring Meeting & Trade Show has been cancelled due to the Idaho gathering limitations during the pandemic. \nIf you would like to make a donation in lieu of your conference registration\, company sponsorship\, or trade show booth participation\, click here: DONATION in lieu of conference participation.  \nMessage from our president: \nHappy New Year! \nWe look forward to 2021 bringing some normalcy to the world as the year progresses. \nPresent COVID-19 guidelines in the state of Idaho restrict the size of gatherings. With our annual Spring Meeting and Trade Show scheduled in February\, your Idaho GCSA Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the annual event held in Boise.  Even if the restrictions are loosened prior to the event\, golf facility restrictions and company restrictions may not allow many to participate – in addition to the personal reservations some of our members may still have. \nWe are fortunate to have enjoyed an in-person gathering this past fall – something many chapters across the country have not been able to experience.  Our attendance was high\, camaraderie shared\, and pesticide re-certification credits\, along with GCSAA EDUs\, were earned. \nWith the cancellation of our upcoming February event and the spring golf season around the corner\, we look forward to strong attendance and support at the 2021 Super/Pro Golf Challenge (TBD)\, and at the Northwest GCSA Turfgrass Expo this fall\, where our chapter will join Peaks & Prairies GCSA and Inland Empire GCSA at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.   \nIn the meantime\, we encourage you all to participate in the 2021 GCSAA Virtual GIS.  Outstanding education will be available throughout February at a reasonable cost for you and your employees.  During these unprecedented times you many find several opportunities to further your education free of cost – but keep in mind that events such as the GIS use the proceeds to advance the turf professional and the turf industry.   \nWe thank you all for your continued support of the Idaho GCSA. \nJoe Aholt\nIdaho GCSA President \n————– \nSee you at the Spring Meeting & Trade Show – Feb 2022! \nAll under one roof!
